 Celine Dion is a very special person not only because of her extraordinary singing abilities but also for her compassionate feelings for others. The story I am about to tell has brought tears to the eyes of both women and men. A very good friend of ours named Nancy had breast cancer and she was in her final stages. She had battled the disease for over 5 years. Nancy's friends and neighbors bought her and her husband Bob a trip to Las Vegas. Nancy was always a big fan of Celine Dion and they purchased tickets to see her show in Vegas. My wife, Pam, found out that Nancy and Bob were going to attend the Celine concert. We have a friend that works for Caesars in Indiana named Judy. Pam called Judy and ask if there was any way that Celine could dedicate a song to Nancy when she attended the concert. Judy said that was highly unlikely because the shows were choreographed and they get so many requests for this sort of thing. Judy said she would try but don't expect anything to happen. Pam gave Judy the information on when Nancy and Bob would be attending the concert. We did not hear anything back from Judy and figured that it was not going to happen. Pam and I were playing golf when we received an urgent call from Judy asking how to get in touch with Nancy and Bob in Vegas. Pam put Judy in touch with Nancy's sister, Cathy, who gave Judy the contact information. Pam and I both were excited that Judy was going to get a song dedicated to Nancy. What happens next was a big surprise and will make us and our friends forever grateful of Celine Dion. A few of our friends were not real fans of Celine but after hearing this story they have become fans and went out and purchased her CDs. A Celine Dion's representative who handles her affairs called Nancy and Bob at the hotel they were staying at and told them that Pam and I were in town and we wanted to meet with them before going to the concert. He stated we wished to meet with them about two hours before the concert started. When Nancy and Bob got over to Caesars where Celine performs, Celine's representative met them and ask that they follow him. Nancy and Bob had no idea what was about to happen. He took them to a secure area which turned out to be Celine Dion's apartment. When Nancy and Bob walked into the door they were met by Celine Dion herself. She visited with Nancy discussing what women discuss and taking pictures. She advised Nancy that because of the choreographed concert she would not be able to dedicate a song.  She then gave Nancy a Celine Dion book and wrote the following on it. "I dedicate this complete performance to Nancy" and dated and signed it. She then advised Nancy that she had to get ready for her show but she would be thinking about her. Of course Nancy loved the show and had a great time and experience. Nancy has since passed away but all of her family and friends will always remember what Celine did for Nancy. Of course at Nancy's funeral they played Celine's music. Celine did not have to do what she did for a complete stranger but because of her compassion for others she made Nancy's last few months a little more bearable. Nancy's friends and family will always be very appreciative of what Celine Dion did for our beloved Nancy. Thank You Celine Dion. December 9, 2003
