Justin......

Thanks for calling and joining the forum today.  I will help you anyway I can.  Stay in touch and when you have some specific questions I will get back with you.  I am sure Steve Griffith also would  help you  get involved in LD.  He is the "Ambassador of Long Drive".  You can check his site out at;

Hi Justin,
My name is Steve Griffith and I have been involved with long driving for about 8 years. I don't consider myself a veteran of the sport but after 8 years at the World's I do know a little about it. If you have any questions just fire away. I will do the best I can to answer right here on this forum or make suggestions about who you should contact for information. When I started my long drive career a very nice competitor named Matt Schulten answered all my questions and it meant the world to me. You will find most of the guys are very helpful. If I can help you I would be glad to
Long and Straight,

Steve,

I'm curious about several different aspects of the long drive competition.  Probably the most important thing would be getting a driver that will compete.  I currently hit a Cleveland Hi-Bore stiff shaft, I bought it just to play golf with and am driving 350-360 every time.  The golf pro at the local Dicks Sporting Goods told me that I can play this club but I will have to slow my swing!  Any advice that you would have on just getting started would help.  As far as finances I am not blessed with excess money so I really will have to watch my spending.

Thanks

Justin
