Juli's Golf Swing Highlights


Inkster was the first person, male or female, to win three consecutive U.S. Amateur titles (1980-1982). Inkster won the 1981 California Amateur, she was California's 1981 Amateur of the Year and 1982 Bay Area Athlete of the Year. She was a member of the U.S. Curtis Cup team in 1982 and World Cup teams in 1980 and 1982. She was inducted into the San Francisco Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 1983. Inkster was a collegiate All-American for four years (1979-1982) and also won the 1982 Broderick Award.

Juli joined the LPGA Tour in 1983 and won her first title in her fifth start. She won the 1984 LPGA Rookie of the Year Award and became the first rookie to win two major championships in one season: Nabisco Dinah Shore and the du Maurier Ltd. Classic. In 1999, Juli won the U.S. Women's Open and the LPGA Championship joining Pat Bradley as the only women to have won the career Grand Slam in the modern era. Juli again won the US Open in 2002. Inkster was a member of the 1992, 1998 and 2000 United States Solheim Cup teams.
