He won the Scottish PGA championship in 2002 by a recordbreaking ten shots. He won on the PGA tour winning his first professional golf title in the United States at the Deutsche Bank Championship near Boston Sept 1, 2003.. His latest victory the Texas Open in 2010.
Adam is most likely a future Major winner without doubt.
He's one of the new breed of young golfers who have modelled themselves after Tiger Woods.
He's young, athletic and has a classic golf swing.Adam Scott's swing basics Adam looks very athletic as he stands over the ball. His back is unusually straight, he's not all hunched over the ball, with his knees nice and flexed. He just lets his arms hang down in a natural way and his weight is evenly distributed. He looks perfectly at peace. His right foot is 90 degrees to the target with his left foot turned out slightly. Adam takes the club back in that nice smooth, wide arc. At the top of his backswing he is set absolutely right. You could be looking at a text book. 
He has turned through 90 degrees.
His left arm is nice and straight and he's retained the flex in his knees.
Adam's downswing is more of a sideways slide.
He has a very loose swing. He is hitting it hard without a need to tense up.
You'll see from his follow through how he has smashed the club head through the ball towards the target line out in front of him.
A good sign is to finish with your elbows high like Adam does.Consults the same swing coach (Butch Harmon) as Tiger Woods. His caddie is Phil Williams, whose older brother, Steve, happens to be Tiger's caddy. |
