One year after joining the PGA Tour in 1981, the lanky Oklahoman had taken four titles including the PGA Championship. Tway's miraculous bunker shot found the cup and left Greg Norman dumbstruck at Inverness. Tway has battled through periods of poor play to put his game back together and was voted 1995 PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year for his triumph. He was a three-time All-American for Oklahoma State and the recipient of the Fred Haskins Award as the outstanding collegiate player in 1981. Bob has broken a long period without a win when he won the 2003 Canadian Open.
Tway was first introduced to the game of golf at the age of five, when he used to follow his father and grandfather around the course.
