Patty's Golf Swing Highlights


Winner of the Nevada State Amateur from 1975 through 1978 and the California Amateur in 1978 and 1979, and the 1980 AIAW National Championship. Sheehan also was a member of the U.S. Curtis Cup team in 1980 when she won all four of her matches.

Sheehan joined the Tour in 1980 and collected her first victory at the 1981 Mazda Japan Classic. In 1984 Sheehan was awarded the Vare Trophy for the lowest scoring average at 71.40.

In 1993, she qualified for the LPGA Hall of Fame after capturing her 30th career victory. In 1996 Sheehan claimed her 35th career victory and sixth major championship at the Dinah Shore. She also crossed the $5 million mark in career earnings. Sheehan was a member of the U.S. Solheim Cup team in 1990, 1992, 1994. and 1996.
