Dr. Bob Kalsched's
Golf Swing
I was fortunate to meet Doc when he purchased the Golf Swings Multimedia program about a year ago. I quickly learned that Doc was not only a avid golf fan but an exceptional player as well.
Last year Doc shot his age or less 14 times. Doc is 83 years old. Doc is very knowledgeable of the Golf Swing. He has helped many older players and young players with his instructions on how the older golfer should swing the golf club.
Doc has written a Book called "The Older Golfer" that gives detailed instructions how the older golfer can improve his golf swing.
Doc and I have discussed putting his work into an electronic book format with video, animation and sound. Please email Doc or myself if you would be interested in such a product.
Below is some recent email I have received from Doc. I think by reading it you will get an idea of just what kind of man Dr Kalsched is.
Dear Ray;
Ray, I would be most pleased and honored to have you include my swing on your
program. I would hope you would mention that it is the swing of an 83 year
old geezer and any resemblance to a rusty gate is coincidental.
In answer to your question about shooting my age. You know Ray, it seems to
get easier with each passing year. I know that this can come to a screeching
halt at any time but as long as I can play I am going to keep swinging.
This summer I shot my age or better, fourteen times. Now you must remember
that I was hitting off the white tees so that reaching the par fives was
possible on many of the shorter courses. On a regulation par 72 course,
hitting off the white tees, I shot my age or better on six occasions. I am
seldom in trouble and when the putter is working I am usually in the middle
eighties and often lower. My average drive this summer was about 215 To 225.
On days when the old bones are pretty sore I find the back swing pretty
short and the distance down around 200. On the shorter courses such as par
68 minis, I am always near or below my age. I know that this year will be a
little tougher but I plan to hang in there as long the man upstairs will
allow.
My best to you Ray and I will be looking forward to being on your
program and also the "Older Golfer". I am working on another shot of Arnie.
How I wish I had shot a couple of rolls, but I was so young and
inexperienced that I really didn't appreciate the opportunity I was faced
with.
Goodnight Doc.
