Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man are all considered Universal Classic Monsters, a group of horror movies that were some of the biggest events in early cinema. These monsters have been adapted many times and are considered cultural pillars. Here are some details about these monsters:

Dracula

The 1931 movie Dracula is considered to have started Universal's reign of horror. Dracula shares some elements of Gothic literature with Frankenstein, such as a supernatural event.

Frankenstein

Mary Shelley's original novel doesn't give Frankenstein's monster a specific name, but Victor Frankenstein refers to his creation as many things, including "creature", "fiend", and "ogre". Some say that Frankenstein 1931 is more Gothic than Dracula because it has more elements of classic Gothic literature.

The Wolf Man

The 1941 movie The Wolf Man stars Lon Chaney Jr. as Larry Talbot, who transforms into a werewolf.
